CREATURE FEATURE: Zebra Shark
Zebra Sharks, known for their unique appearance, start life as dark brown pups with white stripes that mimic banded seasnakes for better survival. As they grow, adults adopt a tan color with brown spots, becoming more similar to Leopard Sharks. They inhabit shallow coastal areas and coral reefs, resting on the sandy seabed during the day and hunting at night. These agile sharks have powerful teeth suited for crushing molluscs and crabs. Female Zebra Sharks can reproduce without a male, known as parthenogenesis, and they can live for over 28 years.
